Welcome to the Elephant & Castle, Dawley.  We aim to offer you an atmosphere of the best real ale quaffing in Shropshire, including bringing you the widest range of quality drinks in the area, including the best range of real ales in Dawley & District.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

On 24th August 2015, it was 140 years since Dawley’s most famous son started out on his journey to become the first person to swim across the English Channel.  On 24th July 1883, he was killed attempting to become the first person to swim across the rapids at Niagara Falls.  To commemorate  the life of this remarkable man, we commissioned a special beer from Wood’s Brewery of Wistanstow.  “Webb’s Wonderfuel” was originally intended to be available just from 24th July to 24th August and is a tasty golden beer of 3.9%.  At the moment, Wood’s Brewery is not able to brew “Webb’s Wonderfuel” but we hope to have it back at a later date.  Commemorative pump-clips are still available from the bar for just £2 each.
